Hawkins Auction
A big "Thank You" to all who attended the Hawkins sale on a clear but very hot day. There were 60 some registered buyers and thanks to the shade offered from a Butternut tree they all found a place to find comfort from the sun.
We were told that we would be there selling till 4:00pm. but we were done at 1:00pm thanks to the hard work of our good staff. The prices were fair to good and I know the Hawkins family were pleased. We want to thank them again for all their hard work in preparing for this sale.

Beth Somerville sale Oct. 25th. Thank you for coming to this real good sale despite the weather. There was a steady drizzle of rain but it could have been much worse. We had a nice sized crowd and everyone came to buy and prices were good. We sure do appreciate your support. The proceeds from the gloves and mitts ( $175.00 ) are going to the Cobden Food Bank. This was a nice gesture by Beth.

Rosien estate sale Aug.30th. We had real nice weather and a good crowd on hand for this sale. I felt we should have started this sale earlier and changed the order of the sale as buyers did get restless because it was a large sale with a lot of items that were the same type of goods. I felt that the prices for some items were not high enough. There is no doubt that the yard sale mentality has had a negative impact on auctions sales.

Malcolm sale: June 28th
We really want to thank the people who came out and braved the steady drizzle of rain and hung right in there to the end. We finished the sale in real good time ( 12:30pm) and when we were finished the sun started to shine.
Special thanks to all the staff and to Carl who worked so hard to get everything ready. Congratulations to Steve Wood for purchasing the Yamaha ATV. We appreciate meeting new customers and seeing returning customers and friends from the Cobden area.

Re: Gould sale on June 16th. Thank you for coming out to support Keith and Helen Gould at their sale. There was a real nice turnout and it made for a good sale. We were very pleased as were the Goulds with the end results. It was a hot day but people managed to find a shady spot and we finished the sale in just over 4 1/2 hours.
